YOLO Board LLC announces that Destin Real Estate Company, a leading real estate agency serving the Emerald Coast, will be the presenting sponsor of the 2010 YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series.  The race series consists of a series of five relay races that will take place from May to August at various area locations, and three 'Family Day' competitions scheduled throughout the season to coincide with the races.  Race paddlers vie for the champion title "2010 YOLO Board Cup Series" to be awarded after the final race in August to the overall winners of three divisions - male, female and elite paddlers.  Owners of Destin Real Estate Company Blake & Melody Morar have been a supporter of the race series since its inception and became avid YOLO enthusiasts.

"I work in a very high-paced environment with my colleagues at Destin Real Estate Company and for the longest time felt I had no real hobbies outside of selling real estate. I was instantly hooked on stand-up paddle boarding the first time I tried it," explained Blake Morar.  "It's an easy way to exercise, clear my mind and gain a greater appreciation for our unique area.  YOLO Board has done an excellent job promoting the lifestyle and geography of our coast and is something I have been excited to share with my clients.  I'm thrilled to get Destin Real Estate Company behind the race series this year as its presenting sponsor and to support this great community event."

Morar has incorporated YOLOing into work life at Destin Real Estate Company, organizing weekend YOLO Board retreats for the company as a fun, team building activity to supplement regular company workshops conducted by his real estate coach, Bob Corcoran, with Corcoran Consulting and Coaching.  According to Morar, the workshops and group activities enhance office morale by bringing the staff together and keeping them focused on living by their core values.  Destin Real Estate Company will have both a male and female team competing in this year's series.

Scheduled race dates (weather permitting) are: May 13th at Eastern Lake, June 3rd at the WaterColor Boathouse, June 25th at Baytowne Marina, July 15th at Eastern Lake and August 19th (location TBA).  Family Days will be held on May 16th at Eastern Lake, June 6th at the WaterColor Boathouse and July 18th at Eastern Lake.  A one-time race entry fee is $200 per relay team ($50 per person for all five races) and a one-time entry fee of $50 per person for all three Family Day events.  Complimentary 2010 signature performance race jerseys will be provided for each participating team and YOLO boards will be available for use at each race event.  All events will be run on stock 12' and under surf-type stand-up paddleboards.
