Although we were Chicago natives, my husband Douglas and I had some dear friends from Buford, Georgia who invited us down to vacation in Destin.  We fell in love with the sugar white sand beaches!  Returning home, Doug contacted the Xerox human resources manager to see if there was a possibility to transfer to the area.  They laughed at him, so Doug filed away the transfer request.  But, that was not the end of our beach dream! One Saturday morning, a few months later, we went to the mailbox and found a notice from Xerox that they needed experienced technicians in Tallahassee and Jacksonville!  On Monday morning Doug was standing at his regional manager’s desk with his transfer paperwork in hand. Thirty days later we were living in the Florida Panhandle and bought our first condo on the beach.  We have been happy Floridians since 1994.

In Chicago, I worked in marketing for a real estate developer and a well known architectural firm.  In the process of moving south, I became a student of the Panhandle real estate market for purposes of our own investment plans.  I soon decided to shift my career from marketing to real estate sales. I began my Florida Real Estate career in 1997 and joined the Bay County Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  Soon after, I became certified as a Residential Specialist, a Recreational and Resort Specialist, Realtor Institute Graduate and acquired a Loss Mitigation Certification.

Once we moved to Destin, I placed my license with White Sands Development working onsite selling preconstruction condos, vacant lots and single-family homes.  From 2001 until recently I was a top producer with another local real estate office.

Now, I am excited to say that I have become a part of the Christman Group of Destin Real Estate Company specializing in the luxury real market in Sandestin and the Beaches of South Walton.  I have a total of 15 years experience in real estate sales and marketing.
